Hey band!The band camp has finally ended and I hope you had fun in these 3 days! Thanks to the committee and those who have contributed to make the camp a success! Hope you have a meaningful 3 days of figuring out your parts and brushing up on your skills.
Firstly, the band investiture 2012 is coming in a few weeks time! The details are as follow:
6th July 2012, Friday
Around 6.30pm onwards (timing not confirmed but around evening)
School hall
Do ask your family to come along and support us. Seniors and alumni please do come and attend if you can make it! Make a note or post on the facebook page and join the event created if you are coming! The more the merrier!

Secondly, SIBF is coming approximately 1 month time! Apply what you have learnt in Mr Nonami's workshop and play as ONE BAND okay! Do work hard and make full use of the sectionals and practices to improve. The recording for In The Winter of 1730 is already on the facebook page! Anyone who wants to purchase the all-day pass for the SIBF, please let me know your name. Thanks!

Hi band! It's less than two weeks till school reopens. Cherish the time now to practice what you are weak in, figure out the fingerings, rhythm, articulations and dynamics! Don't just wait for your seniors or Mr Wong to figure out them for you. When school reopens, there will be very less time for you to practice for concert. Don't waste the time you have now before holiday ends. Also, don't forget to do your holiday assignments! :)

Hello band!Good job for the Chamber Exchange! Hope you guys have learn something and have improved on your individual skills.
Band has officially stand down due to End-of-Year Examinations, and will resume after all examinations are over. We and the teachers hope that you can spend this period of time to catch up with your studies, so please do study hard okay! All the best and good luck, see you after the exams!

here are some rules which band NEED to take note of:
- when need to bring home instrument, MUST inform the QM who is in charge of the sign-in-sign-out book for the section.
- do not change instruments without informing vanessa or ben.
- no sharing or touching of others' instruments.
- the best time to send the instrument for repair is during band breaks or exam periods. please take good care of your instruments. anyone whose instrument keep spoiling are to pay the repair cost by themselves.
- problems with instruments immediately report.

Band Investiture on 15th July would not be successful without the contributions & hard work by the band members, the helps of the teachers and Mr D.Wong and the plannings of the committee. The band did a great job playing Memories of Friendship & Go The Distance. Not forgetting the sec1s, sec2s and sec3s performances, you guys did a good job too! We are less than 2 days away from our SYF!! please really really memorise all the little details and make sure you remind yourself to do it! do the most that you can but please have enough rest! Drink lots of water, it's super hot nowadays. Don't fall sick !!Tmr's our last practice till SYF, make the most out of it !!

Attire - No coloured rubber bands/clips
- Girls will be given 2 warnings and will be punished on the third time
- Guys will be warned for their hair length and must cut by next 2 practices
- No coloured socks
- No long nails
*Attire must be proper before combine, not when combine start
Band practice on Saturday is 9AM. Please be punctual.
